I’m sooo glad u made this vid. I have been “moisturizing” my hair with castor oil w/ mink oil condition in the solid form and sealing with grapeseed n vitamin e oil. I was wondering why my hair is breaking and never seemed moisturized. ugh so annoying. I have the neutrogena stuff u have so im gonna try that . thanks ur vid really helped

I’ve heard good things about Jane Carter Solutions “hair nourishing cream”. I haven’t tried it but I’d love to get my hands on some. Problem is, I’m not sure if they sell it in stores or only online..

I used to use carrot oil, but it’s still a little heavy for my tastes. If it works for you, that’s great! Everyone’s hair is a little different. I could never use the carrot oil without my hair feeling greasy and weighed down after

Yes. The hair dries out little by little over the day, so by the next day both moisture and oil can both be reapplied and the moisture will still go through. That is, IF you don’t go overboard with your sealant. If you over-seal (new word, haha), you’ll block any chance of moisture getting in.

Avocado oil has a pretty neutral smell, don’t worry!

Im currently using the motions oil moisturizer and I love it, but now watching you video i’m reconsidering. I used to use the neutrogena moisturizer, but silly me read the ingredients and it has “sweet almond” oil in it, which I’m allergic to, and it caused my scalp to be itchy and really irritated. My hair is dry and needs cream moisturizers, can you suggest any?

I use carrot oil. It’s lightweight and keeps my hair moisturized. I use the one by organic root stimulator and its first ingredient is water followed by soybean oil, coconut oil and castor oil.

You are so true when it come to moisturizing the hair. The hair need moisture and water equals moisture! I love this video and faved it and subbed too!! Cremes and oils just coat the hair for sure and also attract build up on the scalp! I use carols daughter leave in tui conditioner spray. Weightless looks I love too! Thanks for the great info on hair!!

if you moisturize and seal, the next day if you moisturize will the moisture go through?

I actually don’t recommend putting anything directly on your scalp, because although it might temporarily soothe your itch/dryness, the buildup will clog your pores and cause more irritation. I suggest keeping your scalp clean (use moisturizing shampoos) and moisturized (try steaming deep conditioning treatments with a hooded dryer or a hot towel). Remember that whenever you shampoo, it strips your scalp/hair, so you have to moisturize (condition) to replace that moisture so it doesn’t dry out.

I have a video about my wash day regimen. Other than that, I share with you guys all my day-to-day tips in various videos. I don’t think a single video about my WHOLE regimen would be helpful- instead I try to break down each component of a regimen into digestible chunks. Search my videos, and whatever you need to know should either be there already or will be there shortly

Water-based products do jack-shit for my hair. I’ve tried it but my hair just soaks it up like a sponge. Coconut oil on the other hand actually acts as a moisturizer, and shea butter works for me as well. Different strokes for different folks!

I too suffer from dry scalp and what I had to minimize the use of was sulfates (in mostly all shampoos.) The sulfates is an agent used to produce bubbles and thats all it does. I use Conditioners to “co wash” my hair and I shampoo 1-2 times a month. The sulfates scan disrupts the PH balance of your scalp and cause it to be very dry. I moisturize with Carols Daughter Hair Milk or Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioner. Seal with Jojoba(light oil) or Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
