It’s not a good idea to buy in bulk… once I bought a big box of Cracker Jacks… there were moths in the box.

You should only be eating about 16oz of beef a week, beef breaks down strangly in your stomach and rots inside of you instead of breaking down proporly. Chicken is probably the most healthy meat for you, pork in moderation as well.

You can get the same nutrition from salads on a daily basis as eating meat. Making or buying Hummas is also a much healthier alternative to eating meat, add some Extra Virgin olive oil and some veggie sticks and you are on your way to a healty snack or meal.

I feed my kids chopped up cardborad and water from the pond out back…..it’s ok the city sanitizes it once a year. I put sugar on the cardboard and I put crystal light in the water. My kids actually enjoy it and I will continue to feed them this until they know the difference.

I’m glad you mentioned alternative sources of protein because eating a couple of meat items per week is not enough. This also provides good ideas for college students who don’t want to eat just cup of noodles every day.

Tuna has a lot of mercury but not as much as Albacore. I usually buy canned Salmon as it contains no mercury.
